Description About Holden Logo

Holden is a car brand of American automaker General Motors with headquarters in Australia. Holden has its own production and our own development department. Some models are consistent with Opel and Vauxhall and products to Daewoo / Chevrolet, some differ only in the company logo. In Australia, for example, Holden Astra (almost identical to the Opel Astra) sold. Because of higher prices for imported Opel Astra and Vectra models are replaced since 2006 by Australian models. The models Barina, Viva, Epica and Captiva are based on vehicles from GM Daewoo.

Other vehicles, which are especially large and luxurious and the pickups, which seem better suited for Australian conditions, largely in-house developments, partly based on vehicles of other GM brands. Thus, the Holden Commodore and the Statesman based on it, Caprice and Ute was developed in Australia. In addition, some Holden models in North and South America are sold under the label of several other General Motors brands. The new four-cylinder engines from Opel are Australian developments that were the Fiat-GM Powertrain joint venture to the local needs adjusted.
